Our 1/2 hour Pre-Soak/Pre-Wash cycle in 98 degree Celsius (198 degree Fahrenheit) water using natural/organic biodegradable ecologically friendly detergent sterilizes the diaper prior to washing, as specified in the Real Diaper Industry Associations guidelines for all certified Diaper Cleaning Services (which we are).  We then wash the diapers (again according to guidelines), (we have to keep up our standards and be prepared to pass our certifications at a moments notice). Following with 11 rinses to make sure we got all the detergents out.  Our process then requires we line dry (hopefully it is sunny out, otherwise the lines inside are used), to prolong the use of the diapers and at the same time maintain our green environmentally friendly status.
