Who We Are

Founded in 2012 by Helen Wolfe a retired Mechanical Engineer who worked in the automotive Industry for 40 years before deciding to strike out on her own and do her piece to go green.

Helen raised 2 children of her own (and assisted in raising others belonging to friends and family, too numerous to count) in cloth diapers.  She now has 15 grandchildren and 2 great grand children.  When in Helen's care, children feel the soft gentle touch of cloth on their delicate behinds.

After research, "As I kept researching cloth diapers, I found so many more reasons that reassured me that cloth diapers are the better choice.",  Helen discovered many reasons for using cloth diapers rather than disposable and decided to alleviate the only problem caused by using cloth diapers, the need to do the laundering.

Helen  cared for her niece who was developmentally disabled.  During the years of loving Tina alsoHelen realized the need for cloth diapers for adults.

"Disposable Diapers Take Between 250 to 500 Years to Decompose.  Think about how many diapers are still sitting in the landfills; every disposable diaper since the day they were created is still sitting somewhere taking up space in a landfill. The Real Diaper Association estimates that 27.4 billion disposable diapers are used every year in the United States, and over 92 percent of these diapers end up in the landfill.

That was too much for me and I knew I had to do something different because I didn’t want to contribute to that. I continued reading about the environmental impact of disposable diapers, and I bmore disgusted by disposables."

With today's hectic lifestyle, many parents opt for the convienience of disposables.  "After reading about all the harmful chemicals in disposable diapers, I was even more convinced that I wanted to find a way to make it easier for parents to use cloth diapers."

With Basso Diapers there to do the work, it becomes cheaper and easier to use cloth, let alone the ecologic "green", environmental issues.  Please check the details for yourself.  You will come back and start using cloth if for no other reason than that you want the very best for your baby now and in their future.
